TEENS'
CLOSET AND SHOWERS ROCK!
AELC's high school outreach
facility, The Rock, is VERY excited about two new programs which will be
offered a few times a week after school at The Rock: "Teens’ Closet” and
“Showers Rock!”.
At Teens’ Closet, a large
closet at The Rock will be stocked with clothing for high school students
who need them. For Showers Rock!, the three showers at The Rock will be
made available to high school students who have this need.
Below is a list of items
needed to get these two important programs off and running:
Teens’ Closet:
Clean, casual clothing in good to excellent condition for both male and
female high school students. Clothing such as jeans, t-shirts, pullover
shirts, button-down shirts, zip-up or pullover hoodies, jackets/coats, and
casual shoes. (No socks or underwear, please.)
Showers Rock!:
Towels, washcloths, and bathmats in good or excellent condition. Shampoo,
conditioner, and soap.
Please contact
Krystal Koons
if you would like to volunteer your time or donate any of the items listed.
Thank you for helping teens who are less fortunate, and for helping us get
these two new programs off the ground! |

TAYLOR HICKS
ANGEL FUND
As
approved by the Board of Deacons, AELC has “adopted” local Taylor Hicks
Elementary School (1845 Campbell Ave., Prescott) to assist in providing
food, clothing, and other necessary items for a growing number of students
in need. Through the
Taylor Hicks Angel Fund, AELC can make contributions which will allow
for the purchase of school supplies and hot lunches; outerwear, footwear,
and other basic clothing items; gift cards to local grocery stores for food
and necessary items; and Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets — all to be
distributed directly to students from the Taylor Hicks administrative office
as the needs arise.
Giving to the Taylor Hicks Angel Fund may be made with your
regular weekly offering (please designate, “Taylor Hicks Angel Fund” and the
amount on the envelope), through Special Fund Giving on the
Give Online
page of this website, or in the church office during the week.
Matching funds will be provided by
Thrivent Financial
