Thank you for your interest in American Lutheran Church.  We believe that God has led you here, and we are eager for you to become a partner in our mission and vision and the variety of ministries in this congregation. 
 
American Evangelical Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the ELCA - The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  The ELCA came into being in January 1988 when three Lutheran bodies - the Lutheran Church in America (LCA), the American Lutheran Church (ALC) and the American Evangelical Lutheran Church (AELC) merged.  Other Lutheran bodies include the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).
 
At American Lutheran Church in Prescott, Arizona we believe that a responsible church member is:

bulletOne who is committed to growth through adult education
bulletOne who seeks to serve through the many volunteer opportunities of this congregation

bulletOne who shares his/her faith with others
 
All are invited to participate in the life of this congregation - members and non-members.  For those interested in membership, new member orientation sessions are held 2-3 times each year.

Transfers from other ELCA Congregations are accepted anytime.  Please call the church office at (928) 445-4348 or e-mail by clicking here to process a transfer for your change of membership or for more information.
 

Non-Lutherans are encouraged to attend the Alpha course.
